Story: Tom Meeson
Tom was in the marine corps for 8 years and fought in
Korea
.
He enjoyed a long career in shipping and transportation. Tom’s wife
taught Home Economics, deceased in ‘87. They have 5 sons and 9
grandchildren. Two years ago Tom suffered a stroke which paralyzed his
left side. After 4 months in rehabilitation he was able to return to
live independently at home. He credits his faith and his family with
their enormous support for helping him through the times of crisis. His
hobbies include cooking, with which he treated the rehab unit at the
hospital after his recovery. He is also a lay reader in his church.
