  • Who can use the Easy Rider?
  • What is the Easy Rider?
  • What's the theory behind the Easy Rider?
  • Who is involved in the Easy Rider?
  • Endorsements!

WHO CAN USE THE EASY RIDER?
Basically anyone of any age within the rodeo circuit who currently rides a bull. Similar to the current bull riding ropes available, this device will fit any size bull and accommodates left or right handed riders.

WHAT IS THE EASY RIDER?
The Easy Rider is constructed primarily of a high density grade of poly urethane, which encompasses a springing action within the unit. The molded handle is turned on a 35 degree angle to take the pressure off the rider's wrist. Once the rider has let the tail of the rope go, the handle springs back and the riders' hand is freed from the handle.

THE EASY RIDER THEORY?
The rider is in no way attached to the Easy Rider except that he grips a molded handle, which is a part of the rigging that fits under the riders' legs. Due to its springing action, the rider can dismount when he is ready, without the fear of being hung-up.

First, the Easy Rider Bull Rope is not all that different to the current method in use. There are three major rules that need to be observed when using the Easy Rider.

1) There is a system of three holes on the opposite side of the handle extension that have a flat platted rope passing through them. This is a quick adjustment, simply pull the rope throught the first hole, then the second and then the third in any one direction.

2) If you ride using your right hand, then the system of three holes that is the quick adjustment should be on your left. Notice that the flexible poly urethane extension (hand holt) starts from the middle and extends across to the right at a 35 degree angle for rider comfort. Because the extension (hand holt) has been stood up (twisted) to an angle parallel with the rider's body. The riding hand should grip the handle (hand holt) so that the rider's knuckles remain flat on the base pad!

3) The tail of the rope that passes through the handle extension, meets the looped end of the rope underneath the animal, it then passes through the lopped end and returns to its original position, following the same path. Once the tail has doubled back (returned) and the rider has his hand in the center of the base pad, the tail of the rope should be pulled tight. The tail should pass through the palm of the riding hand, and pass behind only once. The rider can then grip the tail of the rope as it passes through the palm of his hand for the second time.

In conclusion, we believe that the strengths of the Easy Rider Bull Rope are as follows:

  • All but eliminates the chance of being hung up
  • Enhanced safety of the rider
  • Enhanced safety of the clowns
  • Quick release
  • Greater rider confidence
  • No change in arena atmosphere
  • Less stress on the animal
  • Fits any size bull
